Sports day fire

ok the first day of sports day is actually over. it was quite a crappy start as no one in the class was prepared for it at all. all thanks to the house capt who failed to pass the message down to us. well, some other classes knew about it last term.
looks like our class is now standing somewhere in the middle of the table, in order to take the title away from v13 some things have to be done. firstly, can nick please check with mr melvin tan regarding the relay? there's a rather high possibility that we'll own the 4x100 just like last year. second, i heard sandra's only taking part in one event? that's like a stab in the heart for our points.
although we were not really prepared for the events, i was happy to see so many v11 students down at the track. to cheer or to participate, thanks alot.
this is like the last chance we have to beat v13 for the title man! what are you waiting for! show them some fighting spirit and kick v13's ass :) fight on oneone.

we could had done it, now we're gonna do it.

EMERGENCY- Mass signing up session

Firstly would like to thank the people who signed up once again. (qian yu i shall personally thanks you since you asked haha)

However, we have reached a CRISIS. Not everyone has registered at the VJC website! Therefore, on 20/3/06, we shall have a mass signing up session in class. If you see this post before school starts or after it ends on 20/3/06 at home, please register immediately!

Some worrying statistics (IP) as of 20/3/06 02:00- We only have 13 people who signed up. Ursa and Draco have 20, and Aquila has 29. We have signed up for 27 events , Ursa has 33, Draco has 35, and Aquila has 45!

Come on guys! We can do this. As a class, and pull through! haha... Really, REGISTER NOW!

Regards
Nick

Anyway on another matter, I happened to be in class yesterday and saw that quite a few of you didn't bother to bring back the forms for the overseas indie-venture. You have to fill up the form on the third page and get it signed by monday.

For the benefit of those irresponsible ones out there, I have scanned in the form for you to download.

If your name has been mentioned, please sign up for the events by 20 March, the earlier the better! There is a link on the VJC website to sign up, its quite easy to find. And a thank you to everyone who volunteered to participate, especially for 1500, LJ, and SP for the high turnout. Any mistakes please inform me. and if you experience difficulty registering(which you better not), please get back to me.

Meanwhile, people like Sarah, Leon, Luo Xi, Qian Yu, Janice, Tian Yuan, Hao Tang, Darren, Leanne, please make yourself useful and render your services to the class and join something (haha no menace intended. pressurising tactic, no?)! People who want to join more events please feel free to do so! And in the event any of you are not in the condition to do your event, i'll try my best to let you pull out. Try HAHA, unless you're wing yan who's injured.

Lastly, i will hound everyone to register and fulfil their pledges to V11. Will ring you up and pester you, TOO BAD haha. It's all about participation, not about whether you're good or not (i'm sure we have the pedigree though!). To end off, i would like to say, after experiencing the success of iki masho, despace (think $500 and how you can thank me by joining), and x-country, and how we lost to 13 last year, lets build on our momentun to own sports day, cos IT'S OURS, and PURPLE. And invigorate too, but that will wait first. haha how ego... but who cares? V11 rocks! LOLness =).

Thank you one and all of 05V11. =)

Yours sincerely,
Nick

Soccer. Basketball. Volleyball. Captain's Ball. Floor ball.

You will form teams with your junior class, 06V11 and compete against other junior-senior teams, i.e. V12, V13 and V14. This is in line with one of the objectives of this event, to promote team work and interaction between IP1 and IP2 Students through intra- and inter-class bonding. This is an excellent opportunity for you to get to know everyone better and bond as the VIP!

As this event will be held something during Term 2 Week 9/10, it will be a form of stress-relief and provide a non-academic focus for everyone to work towards. Attractive prizes would be awarded to the winning teams!

Sign up for inV!gorate today! (by 10 March Friday)
*Please note that each person can only play in a maximum of two different sports.

Brought to you by the 05/06 CT Reps and the IP SCs.

class fund

hello everyone

remember i collected $5 from all of you earlier this year for the pegasus house fund?

due to many people claiming money from the class fund for miscellaneous stuff like curtains, varnish for the platform, paint etc, and because the house fund money was conveniently in the fund and we did not have enough class fund to pay, i paid our classmates with the house fund. so it is all very confusing for jovena now because mathematically the class fund should be in a deficit but in actual fact it is not (because the house fund has not been submitted yet since it wasnt asked for).

so, is it ok if we simplify matters and change the collection of 'house fund' to 'class fund' and she shall collect house fund again. in this way, the money which i paid our classmates can be legitimately paid for using our class fund. okok?

some important admin stuffs

ok people first things first.

please make sure that you leave the class at 7.35 sharp for assembly.
better still, leave slightly earlier (i.e. 7.30) if you take a longer time to walk.do not start a new bridge game after 7.30 to prevent anymore excuses about half-played bridge games. also, do try to work faster and more efficiently if you're completing your homework in the mornings.

i definitely need some cooperation on your part for this to work out.

i'm sure you wouldn't want everyone to notice the VIP for their warped sense of punctuality. this is for your own good, for the good of the VIP, and ultimately for the good of the whole school.

anyway this is the assembly timetable which you have to take note of:
monday: JC-IP Combined Assembly @ Hall
tuesday: IP 2 Assembly @ LT4
wednesday: IP Combined Assemby @ LT1
thursday: JC-IP Combined Assembly @ Hall
friday: JC-IP Combined Assembly @ Hall

secondly.
the state of cleanliness in the classroom is just way bad. how do you even keep a classroom clean if it wasn't clean in the first place? well you just have to put more effort into clearing up after yourself and taking the initiative to correctly dispose of rubbish you see around you. some people have been doing this and they deserve to be commended. it is important to have a sense of ownership of the class.

it is YOUR class and YOU do YOUR part in making it a conducive place to study and a homely place to relax and unwind.

the logistics ics are doing up a new duty roster which everyone will strictly adhere too. we're not making this punitive, but measures have to be taken for now, at least until you guys can do it yourself without constant reminders. we don't have maids in class, so rubbish doesn't disappear by itself without effort put in by yourself. if we all work together, the condition of the classroom would improve substantially over the next month and all your efforts will pay off.

finally.
now that we have this area at the back of the class, it is important that the area is managed. currently, it is under the welfare ics and they shall be in-charge of its cleanliness, state of order, and the stockpiling of food. i shall leave it to them how they want to delegate roles to members of the class to deal with the different issues. those who are interested in managing it, please approach the welfare ics to inform them of your plans.

ok, that would be all for now.
hope that I have made myself clear.
Take care over the weekend and study for your upcoming tests.
